Each product sold by Sari Bari represents a story of new life, with the freedom of a woman from one of Kolkata’s red-light areas stitched into its layers.
Each Sari Bari cotton bag is made of three to five layers of saris, which are hand-stitched together to make the body of the bag. Each section of the bag is then machine sewn. Bag size will vary depending on bag design.
Cotton bag care instructions: Hand wash cold, line dry. If the bag has a bamboo handle, please do not soak.
Please note that due to differences in photo shooting conditions and computer monitors, we cannot confirm the exact color of these products. We can confirm that the item you choose is the one that will be sent to you. Therefore we cannot offer exchanges based on color. Returns will only be accepted if there is a defect with the product, and they may be returned for Sari Bari web store credit only.
