My daughter was in Turkey with YWAM several years ago and brought back 2 beautiful, embroidered ‘bedspreads’. They are only a single thickness of fabric but amazingly beautiful. The one she gave me is actually a patchwork with the embroidery imbedded with hundreds of tiny mirrors. The one she has is only pieced around the edges to make it larger than the original fabric was. It is embroidered with a variety of animal shapes in concentric circles and incorporates some metallic threads. They were just too georgeous to just put on a bed. I ended up hangning mine in my livingroom on the wall behind my sofa. I did it this same way but used at lease twice as many hooks/clips and put the end ones on the outside of the end rod braces. This method keeps it more taunt at the top and displays it well. My daughter liked this display method so much, she has now done the same in her new house.
The fabrics and hand stitching in this type (my Turkish and the ones you have)is such an art form. They are absolutely georgeous
Keep up the good work!
