Each product sold by Sari Bari represents a story of new life, with the freedom of a woman from one of Kolkata’s red-light areas stitched into its layers.

Each bag is made of three to five layers of saris, which are hand-stitched together to make the body of the bag. Each section of the bag is then machine sewn. Bag size will vary depending on bag design.

In the future you will be able to view and purchase one-of-a-kind sari bags right here. For now, if you want to make a purchase, please send an e-mail to info@saribari.com and you will be notified when blankets and bags are available.

Cotton bag care instructions: Hand wash cold, line dry. If the bag has a bamboo handle, please do not soak.
